Statement Of Intent

The Directors accept full responsibility for Health, Safety and Environmental issues within the Company. Alcomet Ltd has a full commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment, it realises it has a prime responsibility to take every reasonable step to ensure proactive management of safety and environmental issues associated with the supply of our raw materials, our manufacturing process and facilities, and the distribution and sale of our products is key in our approach to protecting the environment and the welfare of our employees and customers and anybody else affected by our activities;

1. an acceptable standard of Health, Safety and care for the Environment for all its employees, the employ of any other Company or organisation that may legitimately be on its premises and to any member of the public that may be affected by its activities;

2. that every article or equipment that it supplies, or which is intended to be erected or installed in the premises of another Company has been designed, manufactured and tested with the object of enabling any employer/user to meet the legal obligations imposed upon him by the relevant statutory provisions;

3. we will conduct our business in compliance with Health and Safety – Environmental laws and guidelines, which set standards for our operations;

4. maintain systems to manage our Health and Safety and Environmental responsibilities and set targets for continuous improvement and monitor these targets to ensure they are met;

5. strive to prevent pollution and to minimise the environmental costs and impacts of our operations, assess the impact of new operations and products and see ways to contribute positively to their environmental performance;

6. train and motivate our employees to understand their Health and Safety and Environmental responsibilities and to actively support our environmental programmes;

7. work with our supply chain and business partners to improve our collective environmental performance, to protect the ecosystem that provide our raw materials and to minimise the impacts from transportation;

8. communicate openly with our shareholders, employees customers and other interested parties by regularly reporting on our commitments and our progress towards meeting them;

9. commit to continual improvement of our Health and Safety and Environmental responsibilities and management system, as well as ongoing compliance with EC and UK legislation, codes of practice and relevant guidance.

This Policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if required.
