Staff night gets a big thumbs up!

There were smiles all round as staff from Alcomet Limited celebrated the company’s half year success with a special get-together at the Perry Barr Greyhound Stadium, Birmingham.

The ‘night at the dogs’ was put on by Alcomet’s Managing Director Gary James to say thanks to all members of staff who have helped the company reach its sales targets within the first six months of the financial year.

Twenty colleagues were split into two teams, with each team placing bets on their chosen hounds.

The company sponsored a race called The Alcomet Chase, where the teams were presented with a photograph with the winning Greyhound. After the races, each team cashed in their winnings to find out who had won Alcomet’s very own Doggie Trophy.

In the end it was Sales Manager Chris Beasley’s team who walked away with their tails wagging and the victory prize.

Managing Director Gary James spoke about the event:
“The first six months of the financial year have been a fantastic period for Alcomet Limited, the company has exceeded all of its sales targets and is currently expanding into new business markets.

"This is the second staff night in the last six months, and we have more than doubled the size of our workforce. Everyone enjoyed the dog’s night and it has been a great way to say thanks for their continued support and hard work.

“Alcomet is continuing to expand by recruiting new staff throughout the rest of the year in areas such as sales, admin and marketing.”
